Gourock is a ferry terminal on the Clyde estuary just to the south west of Glasgow which is owned and operated by CMAL. The existing pier has recently been upgraded by civil engineering contractor George Leslie Ltd, where new berthing piles have been installed and faced with 28 lengths of Quayquip PFS profile fenders.
The PFS fender has an integrally vulcanised front layer of low friction UHMW-PE, which has been specified and supplied in a yellow colour for high visibility.
Caledonian Maritime Assets Ltd owns the ferries, ports and harbours and infrastructure necessary for vital ferry services serving the West coast of Scotland and the Clyde Estuary. Gourock has a ferry service operating between it and Dunoon.
